Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, made a surprise appearance on the final episode of Park Bo-gum’s program, showcasing his loyalty and long-standing friendship.
On August 1st, the final episode of KBS 2TV’s The Seasons – Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile aired. Wrapping up its five-month journey, Park Bo-gum expressed his gratitude to the viewers.
During the episode, a video message from Taehyung was shown, surprising the audience. In the video, Taehyung congratulated Bo-gum and hinted at BTS’s upcoming full-group comeback.
“Hello, this is V of BTS. I’m sending this message because it’s Bo-gum-hyung’s last episode of Cantabile. He had texted me saying, ‘Taehyung, when will you appear?’ But I’m currently in the U.S. working on our next album, so unfortunately, I couldn’t make it. I’m disappointed too, and I hope we get a chance to film together someday.
To all the viewers who have cherished and loved Cantabile, I hope the time spent with Bo-gum-hyung has become a good memory. We’ll be coming back next spring with a great album, so please look forward to BTS’s music as well. We’ll work hard. Thank you.”
Taehyung and Park Bo-gum’s friendship began in 2015 when Park Bo-gum served as an MC on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank. In an interview, Taehyung shared, “Bogum-hyung and I exchanged numbers when he was an MC. As we kept in touch, we found out we had similar hobbies and got along well, which led us to become close.”
Since then, the two have traveled to Jeju Island together, and Park Bo-gum once personally attended BTS’s concert in Hong Kong to show his support. On Taehyung’s birthday, Bo-gum posted a heartfelt message saying, “Taehyung, you were born to be loved. Happy birthday,” along with a photo, expressing his affection.
Most recently, in July, the two attended a CELINE fashion show together as brand ambassadors, once again highlighting their strong friendship. Fans continue to look forward to the day Taehyung and Bo-gum appear on the same program, showcasing their genuine chemistry as best friends.
