ARMYs’ views on BTS and the GRAMMYs are not always the most positive. Despite the group always performing amazingly when invited and basically stealing the show every time they attend, many feel like the GRAMMYs snub and disrespect the group.

On January 5 (local time), the 2023 GRAMMYs were held. BTS, unfortunately, didn’t win any awards, but the Korean media rightly explained that it was anything but a “loss” for the group.

ARMYs weren’t afraid to also share their anger that during the nominations for Best Music Video, the event couldn’t even get the right image for “Yet To Come” and instead used one from the Hyundai video.

This is such a disrespectful to BTS. The fact that they didn’t use actual music video for Yet To Come in nominations. We’re disappointed but not surprise. However, they know how to respect them a little bit.

Well, after the recent event, it seems like ARMYs have found a hilarious way to shade the 2023 GRAMMYs, and it’s all with a little “help” from BTS’s Jungkook.

After the 2023 GRAMMYs, the Twitter account @chartdata revealed the viewing figures for the event, revealing that it had increased by 30% and was up to 12.4 million.

This year’s #GRAMMYs earned updated 12.4 million viewers, up 30% from last year.

But what does that have to do with Jungkook?

Before the 2023 GRAMMYs aired, Jungkook had an eventful week as he treated ARMYs to a surprise Weverse live broadcast on February 1. It seemed like everything happened during the two broadcasts, whether it was just hanging out…

The iconic-ness that led to the Instagram Live with both Jungkook and V…

And, of course, the long karaoke session that Jungkook had continued until the early hours of the morning in Korea.

If Jungkook and his live broadcasts helping ARMYs to shade the 2023 GRAMMYs isn’t clear yet, it’s all because of Jungkook’s viewing figures on both the live broadcasts.

The first broadcast (before Jungkook momentarily moved to Instagram to chat with V) lasted just under two hours and was viewed just under 23 million times.

awfAfter returning to Weverse, the second part of his broadcast lasted just over an hour and a half and was watched 17.7 million times.

Although these views could be with people replying, even when the live broadcast ended, Weverse revealed that 16.3 million people had watched Jungkook live, even when it was in the middle of the day during school and work or in the middle of the night for many fans.

Of course, ARMYs couldn’t hide how funny it was that Jungkook had more viewers than the 2023 GRAMMYs.

On social media, fans shared their hilarious reactions to the fact that the number of views for Jungkook’s impromptu late-night broadcast beat a global awards show that had been planned and promoted for months.

Of course, Jungkook wasn’t directly involved with “Shading” the event, but it was his broadcasts that helped ARMYs showcase the group’s influence. Many ARMYs joked that the views might have been higher if BTS had attended!
