Some movie-goers thought BTS‘s J-Hope might cameo in the new Spider-Man film.
This past weekend, Sony Pictures and Marvel‘s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, was released. It continues the story of Miles Morales as Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman.
Just like in the previous movie, we are introduced to many more variants of Spider-Man and Spider-Woman. Heck, there’s even a Spider-Pig (known as Spider-Ham).
In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, we’re introduced to Hobie, who we hear much about before seeing him. So, for many ARMYs watching the movie, we couldn’t help but picture J-Hope in their minds as he’s affectionately also known as “Hobi.”
Later, we finally meet Hobie, and it’s revealed to be Spider-Punk, also known as Hobart “Hobie” Brown, a British punk political activist, musician, and superhero.
While we all loved Hobie, it was a universal experience that ARMYs in the cinemas watching Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse originally thought of J-Hope.
