BTS member Jiminhas achieved a significant milestone in his music career as his solo track “Like Crazy” debuted at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The news of “Like Crazy” topping the Hot 100 chart was announced on April 3, 2023, marking the first time that Jimin has achieved such a feat as a solo artist. The song, which was released on March 24 as part of his first solo album ‘FACE,’ has been receiving widespread praise from fans and music critics.
Jimin’s solo success comes on the heels of BTS’s massive global success over the past few years. The group has become a cultural phenomenon, breaking records and barriers in the music industry with their unique blend of music. Despite BTS’s global fame, each member of the group announced they would pursue their individual activities for a while.
Jimin is the fourth member to release his solo album after the announcement of the group hiatus and has garnered massive success for his first solo promotion. According to Billboard, “‘Like Crazy’ sold 254,000 song downloads and CD singles combined and drew 10 million streams and 64,000 radio airplay audience impressions in its first week (March 24-30).”
