On April 16, BTS’ Jungkook expressed his gratitude to fans after many of them recognized him at Coachella.

After spotting Jungkook at the music festival, fans quickly flooded various social media platforms and online communities to give their account of seeing Jungkook. They posted various photos and expressed how happy they were to see him.

In response, Jungkook wrote on Weverse, “Man I was going to quietly go and watch Coachella but was recognized right away…ARMYs are amazing… thank you… I love you…how did you guys recognize me? I even cut my bangs…”

The following day, Jungkook made an early return to South Korea and was spotted by reporters at Incheon International Airport. As always, Jungkook bowed and made hand hearts to greet fans and reporters.

It is expected that Jungkook made an early return to Korea to see J-Hope off to his mandatory military enlistment on April 18. Therefore Jungkook returned to Korea on April 17.

Meanwhile, J-hope is scheduled to enlist later today and begin his basic training at the New Recruit Training Center Division A in Gangwon-do. J-Hope is the second member of BTS after Jin to begin his mandatory military service and will be discharged around October 17, 2024.
