BTS Jungkook, ‘Seven’ certified platinum by the Record Industry Association of America [Official]
BTS Jungkook is writing a new record with ‘Seven (feat. Latto)’.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on the 6th (local time), BTS Jungkook’s solo single ‘Seven’ earned platinum certification by selling more than 1 million units.
Jung Kook received his first gold certification from RIAA last year with his collaboration song ‘Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)’ with Charlie Puth, and also obtained platinum certification with ‘Seven’.
RIAA awards certifications based on digital single and album sales by dividing them into Gold (more than 500,000 units), Platinum (more than 1 million units), Multi-Platinum (more than 2 million units), and Diamond (more than 10 million units). Unit counting is done by weighting album (physical/digital) sales, digital downloads, audio and video streaming, etc.
Meanwhile, Jungkook simultaneously released his solo album ‘GOLDEN’ worldwide on the 3rd. This album, which is inspired by solo artist Jungkook’s ‘golden moment’, contains a total of 11 songs, including the title song ‘Standing Next to You’, ‘Seven’, and ‘3D (feat. Jack Harlow)’.
