BTS RM’s sister has opened up a trendy cafe in Seoul.
The news of the cafe’s opening has many wondering whether it’ll be the next new hot spot in Seongsu-dong due to BTS’ popularity. According to industry sources, RM’s sister opened the cafe located on a main street in Seongsu-dong, Seoul on the 1st of the month. Across the street, a well-known clothing brand’s shop has opened, and with offices expected to open nearby, the area is expected to increase in value.
Photos of the cafe shared online have garnered attention for the commemorative flowers gifted by RM to his younger sister. The garland states, “Little sister! I support your new start! Kim Namjoon.” Since its opening, the cafe has received positive reviews with netizens commenting, “High ceilings and a great sense of openness,” “Lovely details in decor and delicious desserts,” “Great atmosphere, music, and coffee,” and more.
This marks the first time a family member of BTS has opened a cafe in Seoul. Jin‘s eldest brother operated a Japanese-style Western restaurant in Songpa-gu, Seoul, but it’s since moved to Yeouido. Jimin‘s father is also known to run a cafe in their hometown of Busan.
With the news of the cafe’s opening spreading, it’s expected that not only domestic fans but global ARMY will visit the location, raising expectations that the cafe and Seongsu-dong itself might emerge as a global attraction.
