The music video for “Rainy Days” shows V spending a normal day alone. It was produced in a calm and static atmosphere depending on the emotion of the song.It depicts a daily moment when you prepare a meal from the moment you wake up, focus on work, and fall into a nap again as if you were bored.
“I wanted to focus the entire atmosphere of the song on the plainness behind it rather than on V’s splendor,” said executive producer Min Hee-jin, who led the production of V’s first solo album “Layover.”Especially, there was a music style that I wanted to suggest to V.Based on that, I made a tracklist and played it for him in consideration of his tone and style, and we agreed at once. “Rainy Days” is an introduction to the album, and V’s vocals and visuals, which are light and gloomy, will be impressive,” he said.
Another track, “Love Me Again,” pre-released on the same day, is an R&B genre, centered on Soul Sound in the 1970s, and adds gospel and jazz to give a cozy and rich feeling. In particular, V’s soft and unique rhythm is highlighted.
Prior to the release of the song on the 10th, V first presented the music video of ‘Love Me Again’.Filmed in a cave in Mallorca, Spain, the music video focuses the most on music and V’s voice, and it is well received for its production as if it were watching a live performance. The music video exceeded 20 million views as of noon on the 11th, and immediately after its release, it topped YouTube’s “Popular Music.”
