BTS’s “Singularity,” a solo track by member Kim Taehyung, aka V, from the 2018 album ‘Love Yourself: Tear,’ has surpassed 1 million units sold in the United States, making it eligible for RIAA Platinum certification.

Released on May 7, 2018, “Singularity” is an R&B track infused with neo-soul and jazz elements, showcasing Taehyung’s deep, soulful vocals and evocative choreography. The song explores themes of loss, identity, and self-reflection —resonating deeply with both fans and critics.

Critics have praised “Singularity” for its artistic depth, haunting production, smooth R&B sound, and Taehyung’s emotional delivery. The Los Angeles Times named “Singularity” one of the “Best of 2018: The 10 (or so) songs that demanded to be replayed,” calling it BTS’s “most arresting song” of the year.
