Since BTS announced their solo ventures last year, V has been the only one who hasn’t released any original work officially as a soloist. A recent development has, however, gotten ARMYs excited about the possibility of getting new music from him soon.
Hyesung, a musician, DJ, and producer, recently posted a song snippet on his Instagram, which fans suspect might be V’s solo track. He has been working closely with the BTS member for some time now and was heavily involved in the production process of V’s “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” cover, released last year.

A few months ago, the producer also teased another track by V, sharing a snippet of an unreleased song in his voice on his Instagram story on January 17, KST. He captioned the video with “Soooooon,” teasing fans’ anticipation. ARMYs realized V had originally shared the video on his Instagram in January 2022.

In the more recent story, Hyesung, however, only played the instrumental part. The vocal stems of the production were muted in the video, labeled as “Maybe.” The instrumental itself has a mellow jazz sound, which is right up the BTS member’s alley.

So, fans are now anticipating that “Maybe” might be a part of V’s upcoming solo musical ventures.

Meanwhile, earlier media reports had speculated that V might release his first solo album in the third quarter of this year. But any official confirmation is yet to arrive.
