Recent updates on BTS member J-Hope’s military service have emerged as he approaches his discharge date in two months. On July 31, photos of J-Hope in uniform were shared across online communities and X (formerly Twitter).

Currently serving as a drill instructor at the 36th Infantry Division Baekho Recruit Training Center, J-Hope is set to be discharged on October 17. With only two months left in his service, he attended a recruit completion ceremony, presenting a dignified and poised appearance.

J-Hope, the “Elite Soldier,” is expected to be discharged on October 17.

Attendees at the ceremony noted that this was the last group of trainees J-Hope would instruct. An officer at the training center proudly mentioned, “We have the superstar J-Hope in our unit,” and highlighted that this was the final group J-Hope would be teaching before his discharge, which prompted applause from the audience.

In the released videos, J-Hope is seen bowing to the families of the trainees. He appeared shy but smiled brightly, sharing a glimpse of his positive state. He also adeptly managed the crowd, assisting in the ceremony’s proceedings.

Last October, J-Hope was selected as an “Elite soldier,” garnering significant attention. Reflecting on his role as an instructor, J-Hope expressed, “The sense of accomplishment from this role is as meaningful as my activities with BTS.”
