BTS member Jin’s song echoed through the Olympics, proving his immense worldwide popularity.
On February 9, immediately after the free skate of Canadian pair Lia Pereira and Trent Michaud at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, the sweet tones and melody of Jin’s “Don’t Say You Love Me” filled the arena, enhancing the beauty of the Olympic event.
Jin’s solo mini-album ‘Echo,’ released on May 16, 2025 (KST), features the title track “Don’t Say You Love Me,” which reached No. 1 on Spotify’s global chart (May 25, 2025), making Jin the first Asian artist to top Spotify’s global chart in 2025. The song also became the most-streamed K-pop track worldwide in 2025.
“Don’t Say You Love Me,” highlighted by Jin’s clear yet melancholic crystal-like voice, also appeared as background music on La France a un incroyable talent (France’s Got Talent) in December 2025, captivating audiences.
Jin’s first solo single, ‘The Astronaut,’ was included on Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) official SKO 23 playlist of 98 songs as the only Asian solo artist, placing him alongside legendary acts such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Queen. The AWS SKO event is a massive global IT gathering, with the playlist featured over three to four days in front of tens of thousands of participants worldwide.
At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, the world’s largest IT expo, Jin’s campaign as a global Dolby model prominently showcased his solo track “I’ll Be There,” which was continuously featured throughout the event.
Jin’s music frequently appears not only on global broadcasts but also at major sporting events. In December 2024, his song “Running Wild” was featured during the NFL broadcast of the Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions game on CBS prime time, exposing it to a massive U.S. audience. “Running Wild” also appeared multiple times during MBC’s coverage of the 21st presidential election in June 2025, drawing significant attention.
Jin has maintained a special connection to the Olympics, having served as a torchbearer at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics in July. Remarkably, as a foreigner, he was the first runner in the Louvre section during France’s largest national holiday, Bastille Day. Billboard highlighted Jin’s torch relay as the top “10 things to watch at the 2024 Summer Olympics,” while Paris Match, the leading French weekly, introduced him as the only foreign torchbearer among 31 stars, calling him “the true prince who ascended 235 years after the French Revolution.”
