Calvin Klein has just revealed Jungkook’s Fall 2023 campaign for the brand!
On August 14 KST, the global fashion brand unveiled not only his official campaign photos but also a chic short commercial starring the BTS member set to the classic Gary Numan song “Cars.” As soon as photos from the new campaign made their way online, they spread throughout Korean online communities. The photos particularly gained attention due to Jungkook’s unique look, where he showed off his toned physique in cropped tops and form-fitted clothing and posed with a shaggy long bob hairstyle. The term ‘genderless’ also trended on the Korean side of Twitter shortly after the photos were released.
One poster shared a photo of Jungkook from the campaign, writing, “BTS Jungkook’s Calvin Klein NEW campaign pictorial. This time, the campaign concept is genderless.” In response, a few fans affectionately called him “Jungsoonie,” referring to a nickname his BTS groupmate Jin called him during a reality show where he was sporting cute pigtails. Others left comments complimenting Jungkook’s ability to take on such a concept, leaving messages like, “Jungkook’s long hair is paying off. It seems like this concept really suits him. He did it well,” “They need to send him down a runway,” and “The shots of him while he’s dancing [in the campaign video] are really awesome. He did genderless naturally too, and there’s an energetic exciting feel.”
Meanwhile, this is the second campaign Jungkook has done with Calvin Klein, having started off as a global ambassador for the brand back in March.
