In an impressive span of 487 days, Jungkook reached the milestone of 1.2 billion streams on Spotify, even without a solo album. This achievement highlights his exceptional talent and solidifies his position as a rising star in the music industry.
Previously, Jungkook had already set a record for the fastest K-pop solo singer to reach 1.1 billion streams in a mere 453 days. Surpassing this milestone, he added another 100 million streams in approximately a month.
Jungkook’s Spotify account features four notable songs. Among them are the ‘2022 Qatar World Cup’ soundtrack, “Dreamers,” a solo track “Stay Alive” for a webtoon OST, a collaboration “Left and Right” with Charlie Puth, and a cover song “I’m in Love” which he performed as a duet on the show ‘King of Mask Singer.’
Notably, Jungkook’s outstanding achievement of reaching 1 billion streams in the shortest time for a K-pop solo artist with only three songs—”Dreamers,” “Stay Alive,” and “Left and Right”—earned him recognition from UK’s Guinness World Records.
Moreover, Jungkook’s Spotify account garnered over 7.6 million followers, setting a new record as the fastest-growing following for an Asian solo artist. On Spotify’s year-end settlement for 2022, Jungkook claimed the top spot as the ‘Most listened-to K-Pop solo artist in the world’.
