Seventeen‘s Hoshi appeared as a guest on the 4th episode of SUGA’s show Suchwita on February 9.
In this episode, Hoshi and SUGA talked about their beginnings, the role of idols in fans’ lives, and paving the way for K-Pop in the US. The show was an opportunity to get to know each other more as both idols admitted to ‘only knowing each other from music shows and TV’.
Hoshi was introduced as ‘Spoiler Kwon‘ and ‘ferocious dance leader.’ The Seventeen member revealed that he wanted to appear on SUGA’s show because ‘it was a famous PR place‘ so he wanted to promote the comeback of BSS Unit (who recently released a single album with a title track ‘Fighting‘) and get to know BTS rapper more.

SUGA
When asked about Seventeen touring overseas and visiting various countries, Hoshi admitted that it was BTS who opened the doors for K-Pop.
SUGA humbly replied: ‘No, it’s not thanks to us, it’s because (you) Seventeen are so amazing!‘
Hoshi followed with: ‘You need to know what you did. You created the environment. Honestly we were only able to go on American TV shows because of you.‘
Hoshi was curious about SUGA‘s concerns about idol groups going on a break and asked him if he ever wanted to create his own idol group. SUGA, on the other hand, revealed that even company representatives that hold high positions feel hurt when they are faced with difficult decisions.
On the same day, BSS‘s Fighting Dance Challenge with SUGA was revealed on Seventeen’s Official Account, surprising fans of both groups:
Hoshi also told a story about how he happened to join Pledis and revealed what happened in a dorm many trainees had to share together.
The episode ended with SUGA inviting Hoshi to his studio Genius Lab.
The 4th episode of Suchwita trended in South Korea, Japan, Canada, and the US, proving the show’s rising popularity.
