BTS‘s Suga has stayed busy this year with exciting developments in his solo career. From being named Valentino‘s latest global brand ambassador to releasing his debut solo album D-DAY to traveling the world on his SUGA | Agust D “D-DAY” tour, there has been a constant stream of new content from the BTS member.
Adding to his impressive list of recent achievements, Suga became the first ever solo male to land on the cover of VOGUE Japan in its 24-year history.
As a model Valentino brand ambassador, Suga was dressed head-to-toe in the designer label, mixing modern and traditional styles for his first solo VOGUE Japan cover.
Along with the magazine cover, Suga sat down with VOGUE Japan for a Q&A style interview, where he spoke about his creative process, his solo tour, and BTS’s accomplishments over their decade-long career.
In the interview, Suga thoughtfully revealed that apart from BTS continuing activities as seven, he’s fulfilled all of his dreams.

When asked about what he considered the turning point of his career, Suga named BTS’s attendance at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
The biggest turning point for me was my first visit to the Billboard Awards in 2017.

It was the first appearance for the group at an American music award show, and BTS even took home the “Top Social Artist” award, making them the first K-Pop group in history to win a Billboard music award.
Around that same time in BTS’s career, they had considered disbandment because of the tough conditions they faced with their increasing success. Luckily, they decided against it and continued to forge their path as global stars.
