As CELINE’s muse, V was handpicked by the luxury house’s artistic director, Hedi Slimane. The two are known to have met before, and share a friendship. V was once invited to CELINE’s Paris fashion show personally by him.

Hedi Slimane is a huge name in the industry, having worked for both DIOR and Saint Laurent before moving to CELINE. In fact, V has so much respect for the fashion icon that he admitted to trying to copy his style. During the interview with ARENA, V was asked for his thoughts on Hedi Slimane.
Hedi is a really warm person. As for any fun anecdotes… When I first met Hedi, we chatted in a restaurant with dim lighting as he wore sunglasses. I thought, “he’s wearing sunglasses even when it is dark. I guess this is how fashion begins.” I’m also copying that recently, but I can’t see what’s in front of me well.

We can imagine how hard it must be to see in the dark with sunglasses! When Hedi snapped this photo with V, he was also seen with dark sunnies. It seems to be a trademark of his. We love to see this friendship between two fashion kings!
