BTS’s V is kicking off 2026 with a bang, announcing a new photobook project titled “TYPE 非.” The project was created with his hands-on involvement, as he personally participated in every stage—from planning to photography.

On December 31,BigHit Music wrote in their announcement:
“Discover the many faces of V, Kim Taehyung, an artist who cannot be contained by a single category. This 278-page hardcover photobook was created with the artist’s hands-on participation, from planning to photography, offering a detailed portrayal of V, Kim Taehyung’s profound vision and artistic sensibility.
‘TYPE 非’ offers a special look at V, an artist continually expanding his own boundaries. The photobook’s 20 chapters flow as one continuous narrative, with each chapter featuring unique concepts and creative staging, allowing fans to deeply experience V’s convention-defying fluidity.”

In addition, the “V ‘TYPE 非’ Poster Set,” containing seven different posters, will also be released and can be purchased either together with the photobook or separately.
Both the “TYPE 非” photobook and poster set are currently available for pre-order at popular K-pop retailers such as Weverse Shop, Cokodive, Ktown4U, Kpop Merch, and more.

HYBE also announced “V TYPE 非 : ON-SITE IN SEOUL,” an exhibition celebrating the release of V’s photo book, “TYPE 非.” They wrote:
“This exhibition explores the many facets of V, a.k.a Kim Taehyung, an artist who defies definition within a single category while translating the theme of “non-fixity,” an existence that is endlessly fluid and unbound by form, into an immersive spatial experience.”

“V TYPE 非 : ON-SITE IN SEOUL” will take place for approximately two weeks in January at Frieze House Seoul. It will feature a range of spaces, including exhibition zones and media art installations, designed to offer an intimate encounter with the artist’s perspectives and sensibilities. The shifting atmospheres as people move through the space will be in rhythm with the chapters of the photo book.

The announcement was met with fan enthusiasm, and “V TYPE 非 : ON-SITE” quickly climbed the charts, ranking #1 in the exhibition/event section of Yes24’s ticketing site within hours.
