CORTIS fans say BTS fan shouldn't leave comments labeling the group as "BTS's little brother"

By A.R.M.Y AllKpop 16/09/2025

CORTIS, Big Hit Entertainment‘s newest boy group, has recently become the subject of discussion among netizens. Although the group has captured the attention of the K-pop community with their unique style with their digital single ‘What You Want,’ the latest discussion was not all positive. Fans of the group and general online community users are expressing discomfort over comments left by some BTS fans.

Many of these BTS fans have been leaving enthusiastic remarks praising CORTIS as the “younger siblings” or “successors” of BTS, drawing direct comparisons between the two groups. Comments such as “Wow, they’re really the successors of BTS…” or “You’re the youngest little siblings of our kids (BTS)” have been met with cringe and frustration from CORTIS fans. Other comments excessively compare CORTIS members to BTS members, highlighting their looks, stage presence, and charm in ways that some netizens feel overshadow the newcomers’ individuality.

Here are some comments left by BTS fans on CORTIS content:

Translation: “Oh dear, grandma heard you! You’re the youngest little siblings of our kids (BTS)~~ Oh my, so cute, so pretty. Life in the entertainment industry isn’t easy, fighting! Pure-blood BigHit.“

Translation: “Wow, this is seriously chilling… they’re really the successors of BTS…“

Translation: “Keonho, don’t spit. One mistake can ruin everything. Youth isn’t being bulletproof yet; You’re still young, so think twice, thrice, and consult with the company. Youth and boldness are good, but don’t forget, our country is still like the Joseon era.”

Translation:

“The kids picked and sent out by a top boy group company… the Hyungs (older brothers) never caused issues with their character. Talent is guaranteed, just keep your character clean and last long.”

“All the members look like they came straight out of an anime. Unreal, yet somehow real.”

“The smiles are so pretty!”

“Oh my gosh~ everyone’s so handsome. Must become insanely popular like their BTS Hyungs. Where on earth did BigHit find such gems??”

“The older and younger hyungs have set the stage worldwide so perfectly… These maknaes (youngest) will be strong having such Hyungs (older brother).”

“The last one who appeared is so cute. All the kids have such exotic looks.”

Translation: “When I first saw BTS, I wondered how they gathered such seven treasures, and CORTIS gives me exactly that same feeling.”

“Even without adding extra flashiness, CORTIS’s uniqueness really comes through. As a performer, I loved it~ but judging by reactions, their live stage is even better than the performance. Wow… seriously, they’re all amazing~ love it.”

Translation: “Even as rookies, they have such insane swag… feels like watching BTS during their debut days.”

Translation: “As an ARMY… while streaming the hyungs, I’m also watching your MV… you’re doing great, gotta support the maknaes ^^.”

These comments showed support for the rookie boy group but were not well-received by the fans. These fans expressed discomfort, and CORTIS fans are particularly annoyed by the repeated references in comment sections, with some noting that these BTS-related remarks appear across unrelated videos, including performances and content unrelated to BTS or BigHit.

They commented:

“Uh…”

“I hate this…”

“Wow, what kind of vibe is this?”

“…? The way they talk… Are they older?”

“Seriously, this group is like their son’s age, not joking, they legit can be their son’s age.”

“Since when did the BTS fandom become like this…?”

“Why is this…? How did ARMY get hooked on CORTIS?”

“Seriously… I’m an ARMY saying this. That’s so embarrassing.”

“Well, it’s not something you can control, so nothing you can do.”

“This is so cringe.”

“But also, in other idol videos, they keep mentioning BTS and comparing skills… honestly, it’s unpleasant.”

“I really wish they’d stop. Even on Twitter, fan accounts openly mention other idols… especially if they’re not rookies or in the same agency.”

“Even though I was a casual ARMY, I definitely don’t want to associate with these fans.”

“It’s amazing you can tell their age from their comments. lol.”

“What’s wrong with them?”

“If you’re interested in them, just be a casual fan. Why mention BTS looking like so-and-so or who resembles who? Even BTS fans don’t like it, maybe they’re HYBE stans.”

“Were they like this with TXT?”

“Every video has comments like this… sigh…”

“Ah, I hate this.”

“I was getting depressed lately, but laughed reading these comments. lol.”
