BTS’s V continues to inspire fans around the world to turn their admiration into acts of kindness, leaving a positive and lasting impact beyond music.

To celebrate V’s upcoming birthday on December 30—his first birthday outside the military since 2022—his U.S. fans installed a “V Bench” in Central Park, located in the heart of New York City.
The project was carried out by THV Girls & Boys Give, a charity organization founded by V’s U.S. fanbase. This project is one of the many charitable initiatives the group has actively supported.

Central Park, located in Manhattan, is one of New York City’s most iconic landmarks, attracting approximately 25 million visitors each year and ranking as the most visited park in the United States. Taehyung’s bench is situated by the artificial lake near the newly developed Davis Center, completed this past May, offering visitors a scenic view of the water.

The installation was made through Central Park’s Adopt-A-Bench program, which allows individuals, families, or organizations to donate funds to place a personalized plaque on a park bench. All proceeds are managed by the nonprofit Central Park Conservancy.
These engraved plaques are installed only on available benches and, once placed, are permanently preserved within Central Park.

According to the Central Park Conservancy, participation in the Adopt-A-Bench program helps maintain the park’s 10,000 benches. A donation of 20,000 USD allows donors to install a personalized plaque on a bench selected by the Conservancy.

V’s U.S. fans explained the meaning behind the project, saying, “In the heart of New York, Central Park now has a bench dedicated to Kim Tae Hyung. It is a peaceful space where fans and visitors alike can feel his timeless presence, connect, and reflect on shared memories.”
