Jimin continues to thrive in BTS‘ solo era following his official solo debut, that has propelled him to write three new major Spotify records, to solidify his legacy as the undoubted most successful Korean solo artist in history, just two months into his solo career.

On May 22, music data sources reported that Jimin’s Spotify profile has now surpassed 1 Billion streams across all credits, becoming the fastest Korean/K-pop solo artist in history to reach this milestone. It took him 393 days to achieve these numbers, breaking the previous record of 409 days.

Notably, in these 393 days, a  majority of the streaming numbers (close to 70%) contributing to the 1 Billion came in the past 67 days alone, which is when he officially released his solo debut album ‘FACE.’ It goes to show how incredibly well-received his album is and how impactful and successful he already is as a solo artist!

Just three days prior to this big achievement, Jimin had yet again written Spotify history with yet another mind-blowing record.

On May 20, he surpassed 759 Million streams on Spotify to break the record for the biggest streaming year by a Korean/K-pop solo artist in Spotify history. Jimin became the new King in this aspect after surpassing the previous record of 757 Million streams set in 2022.

What amazed fans even more about this record is the fact that the year is not even halfway yet; there are still seven more months left in the year, and they cannot help but get excited at what the possible streaming numbers could be for Jimin at the end of the year!

Finally, his album ‘FACE‘ also reached a new milestone of exceeding 500 Million streams on Spotify as of May 22.

This also became another Jimin record as ‘FACE’ became the fastest album by a Korean/K-pop solo artist to surpass 500 Million streams. The album has, in fact, been the quickest album by a Korean soloist to surpass 100 Million, 200 Million, 300 Million, and 400 Million streams on the platform as well.

‘FACE’ surpassed the 500 Million mark in just 58 days, which is less than half the time taken by the album that previously held this record (132 days)!
