BTS member Jimin has sparked global fan excitement after revealing the behind-the-scenes story of his shirtless look at Paris Fashion Week, during a live broadcast held on October 13th KST to celebrate his birthday.
“I wanted to look cool for the fans,” he said — and confirmed that the bold styling choice was entirely his own idea.
During a special birthday livestream on fan platform Weverse, Jimin engaged with fans and took questions about his recent activities. When asked about his appearance at Paris Fashion Week, he revealed that the shirtless look he wore to the Dior SS26 runway event was something he personally suggested.
“I was so nervous. It was my first public schedule in almost two years, and the first time I was showing myself to you all again. So I had to look cool,” he shared.
He continued, “I said I wouldn’t wear anything underneath this time. When I went to the headquarters for a fitting the day before, I asked, ‘Is it okay if I wear it like this?’ and I got the approval.”

Jimin’s Paris Fashion Week appearance left fans deeply impressed. Social media was flooded with praise for his daring and stylish look.

At the Dior SS2026 event, Jimin wore a fully black ensemble consisting of a black blazer and matching leather trousers. The look was completed with Dior jewelry: a Daisy with Diamond, Four-Leaf Clover, and Diolette Rose with Diamond necklace, paired with rings from the Diolette Diamond, Pink Sapphire and Lacquer, GEM DIOR White, and Bois de Rose collections, featuring white gold and diamonds.
