In recent years, the global rise of K-pop has been nothing short of extraordinary. Various K-pop artists have captivated audiences worldwide with their catchy tunes, mesmerizing performances, and unwavering dedication.

These K-pop artists have been receiving immense love from global fans as they display enormous purchasing power.

Recently, one netizen shared that the chart for the best-selling albums in 2023 only in the U.S. looks like a K-pop music chart. This is because more than half of the albums in the top 10 are releases from K-pop idols.

On rank 2 is TXT’s ‘The Name Chapter: Temptation,’ in rank 3 is TWICE’s ‘READY TO BE,’ rank 4 is Stray Kids’ ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR)‘, rank 7 is Seventeen’s ‘FML,’ rank 8 is Agust D (SUGA)’s ‘D-DAY,’ and rank 9 is Jimin’s ‘FACE.’ This means 6 out of the top 10 are K-pop artists.

Korean online users commented that the top best-selling albums chart in the U.S. looks like a K-pop chart commenting, “This proves that these K-pop artists have a strong core fandom there,” “Jimin and SUGA have been on the chart for a long time,” “This is amazing,” “This is proving that K-pop popularity isn’t just a phenomenon for just one group,” “It looks like a K-pop chart,” “There’s a lot of K-pop fans in the U.S. it seems,” “It’s mostly K-pop fans buying the physical albums,” and “K-pop’s influence is really amazing.”
