Dating rumors surrounding BLACKPINK’s Jennie and BTS’s V have resurfaced once again, sparking heated debate between international fans and Korean netizens.
Speculation about the two first began in December 2021, when V briefly followed Jennie on Instagram. The rumors escalated in May 2022 after alleged photos of the pair in Jeju Island were leaked, and further intensified in May 2023 when they were spotted walking hand in hand in Paris. Although their agencies have never confirmed the relationship, a series of additional leaked photos fueled the belief that the two were unofficially dating.
With V’s enlistment in 2023, many assumed the relationship had ended. However, after his recent military discharge, international fans began speculating that the two idols might have rekindled their romance.
Some pointed to social media “likes” by acquaintances and matching keychains as hints, while others circulated claims that Jennie traveled to Los Angeles to reunite with V.
Korean netizens, however, appear skeptical. Many dismissed the renewed speculation as fan-made rumors, with comments such as, “Stop acting like international fans and spreading baseless rumors. This is just the same old recycled story,” and “Ignore it, it’s just stalker behavior.“
