The Wooga Squad is a friend group consisting of actor Park Seo Joon (also romanized as Park Seo Jun), actor Choi Woo Shik (also romanized as Choi Woo Sik), Peakboy, and ZE:A‘s Park Hyung Sik, and BTS‘s V. Wooga is an abbreviation for the phrase “Are we family?” (Woori-ga Gajok-inga?).
In their reality show, In the SOOP: Friendcation, the dynamics of their relationships is joked about. For instance, Park Seo Joon was referred to as “the emotional anchor ‘dad,’” Peakboy was “the wild ‘youngest daughter,’” Woo Shik was called “the trustworthy ‘eldest son,’” V was “the cute ‘youngest sibling,’” and Hyung Sik was titled “the kind ‘mom.’”
Park Hyung Sik has now confirmed his role in the “family.”
In a recent interview with The Do Show, Park Hyung Sik was asked about his friendship with the Wooga Squad, beginning with filming K-Drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. He explained that although they all have different personalities, a common bond connects them.
They all have different personalities, but they seem to have one common bond among them. That’s why I feel most comfortable when we’re together. I think they are the friends who give me the most comfort and strength. So, even if we don’t see each other often, they feel like friends who are always by my side and whom I always want to see. So, that’s why our relationship continues and the reason it is maintained I think.

The interviewer pointed out that each friend has a unique personality and they must play a different role in the group. So, Park Hyung Sik revealed each friend’s familial “role.”
Seo Joon hyung, in terms of family relationships, is like a father. And then Peakboy hyung is the eldest son. Next, Woo Shik hyung, who’s like the second son who doesn’t listen, very mischievous. And V is immature maknae.

Finally, Park Hyung Sik confirmed that he does, in fact, consider himself the mom of the group. He explained that it’s because he tends to care for the others.
Park Hyung Sik: And then I feel like I take on a bit of a motherly role.
The Do Show: Are you a mother?
Park Hyung Sik: It’s not because I wanted to do this, but at some point, I find myself taking care of them and helping them a lot.
