Netizens are reacting to the rankings of the most influential celebrities at the latest Paris Fashion Week.
On an online forum, netizens discussed several ranking lists featuring members of BTS, BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, and Seventeen, which were based on the top celebrities with the greatest impact on social media.
According to data from Lefty, the top five influential celebrities were, in order: Orm Kornnaphat, Lingling Kwong, BTS V, Stray Kids’ Felix, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. Orm is a Thai actress and entrepreneur, while Lingling is a Thai-Chinese actress.
Netizens explained that this ranking was based on EMV, short for Earned Media Value — an index that converts content influence into a monetary value by reflecting the weighting of each platform such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. In the fashion industry, EMV serves as an objective reference point to measure and compare the promotional impact of ambassadors and invited guests.

Meanwhile, based on Share of Voice metrics shared by Pop Core, the most influential celebrities were ranked as follows: BTS Jimin at #2, BLACKPINK’s Lisa at #3, V at #6, BLACKPINK’s Jennie at #7, Felix at #9, Jisoo at #11, and Seventeen’s Joshua at #13.

The noticeable differences between these lists sparked a mix of surprise and debate among netizens — particularly over Jennie’s lower placement in the first list and Jimin’s higher position than V in the second.
Some also argued that Lefty’s EMV remains the most official and credible metric, saying it is “practically treated as an industry standard in fashion,” while suggesting that the second list may have been made by “fans of celebrities who didn’t make it onto that list, spreading false claims that EMV is just the total number of likes only on Instagram.”
Reactions include:
“V, Felix, and Jisoo are all so likeable. Congrats congrats.”
“V is insane, with just two posts.”
“Can’t believe Jisoo is the only BLACKPINK member on the EMV list. That’s surprising.”
“V really does have star power.”
“It feels kind of like a global version of the brand reputation index.”
“V, Felix, and Jisoo all look amazing.”
“Totally makes sense.”
“It’s interesting that they’re all from Asia.”
“Why are people arguing over something that’s not even official? It’s not official, and if you filter out bots, those numbers wouldn’t even match. They’re fighting over fake data.”
“Why isn’t Rosé on it? Why not both?”
“Whether it’s mentions or EMV, if the results are good, just be happy and move on. Everyone did great.”
“Dior seems to have the strongest influence. I looked into it since I’m into fashion — Jimin was the only Asian and the only male listed by People magazine among the Paris Fashion Week celebrities, and AP News even featured him alongside Johnny Depp. He showed up across global media like BBC too.”
“Dior really does have big influence.”
“Jimin only posted once on Instagram, but the more you post, the more likes and retweets you get. Looking at the EMV ranking, it seems like it combines the number of Instagram posts and likes. The ones ranked 1st and 2nd in retweets posted a lot, while V only uploaded two but still got far more likes.”
“Lefty’s EMV isn’t just the number of ‘likes.’ It’s a weighted advertising value index based on five pillars: exposure, engagement, credibility, content type, and platform rate. EMV doesn’t only include Instagram — it also factors in TikTok, YouTube, etc., with different CPM weights per platform.”
“I just think the fans worked hard, that’s all. Can everyone stop fighting now? lol”
“Jimin’s been showing up in a lot of foreign media, no wonder he’s on the list.”
“Wow, they’re all from Asia.”
“Guess you need strong overseas popularity.”
“Oh wow…Jimin?”
“Looks like Felix really is popular overseas.”
“It’s Thailand, so it’s even more surprising that it’s not Lisa.”
“Kind of unexpected that Lisa isn’t at the very top.”
“Didn’t expect Jennie not to be in the very top either.”
