Netizens wonder why middle-aged women keep trespassing BTS Jungkook’s home

Netizens are speculating about the repeated cases of BTS Jungkook’s home being trespassed.

On an online forum, netizens reacted to recent news that Jungkook’s residence had once again been intruded upon. The trespasser, reported to be a woman in her 40s, was discovered around 11:20 PM on July 30 by a security guard who noticed her entering Jungkook’s parking lot after following another vehicle inside.

Just days earlier, on July 27, a Chinese woman was arrested and referred to the prosecutor’s office for attempted trespassing after she repeatedly tried to access Jungkook’s residence by inputting the door lock password.

Although the age of the Chinese woman was not disclosed, both incidents involved adult women, making them subject to immediate arrest and stricter applications of the law.

Netizens expressed alarm at these recurring events, criticizing the suspects’ behavior “given how they should know better as adults.” Many noted that such actions could not be excused as the mistakes of underage or inexperienced fans but were serious, criminal intrusions.

Notably, many speculated that “the current BTS fandom, especially those focused on individual members, seems to include many older fans who were once part of the 1st generation K-Pop fandom,” a generation infamous for extreme acts of stalking, trespassing, harassment, as well as physical and mental terrorizing. Past incidents included sending letters written in blood and other forms of blackmail that targeted idols such as H.O.T., Shinhwa, Sechskies, Baby V.O.X, Fin.K.L, TVXQ, and more.

TVXQ has especially undergone harassment from sasaengs who repeatedly trespassed their dorms and stole personal belongings, and even faced a life-threatening incident when Yunho was hospitalized after drinking a soda laced with adhesive glue that had been given by a fan.

As Jungkook himself has previously expressed deep frustration over these invasions, many fans and netizens voiced support, empathizing with how “terrifying” it must feel to face home intrusions by adult strangers.

Reactions include:

“Wow… seriously, all the older women who’ve been obsessively stanning since 1st gen must have ended up there.”

“If they were hardcore stans from 1st genㅋㅋ they’d be in their 40s now.”

“1st gen fandom culture had this kind of stalking, and it’s exactly that age group…”

“Looks seriously dangerous.”

“40-something women, what on earth are you doing at that age;; are you crazy;;”

“Are 1st gen fans still wandering around K-pop?”

“You’re old enough, so please live in the real world. And this is stalking, it’s a crime—punish them severely….”

“What are they doing…

“Hul, that’s scary.”

“Oh no, this is a big problem.”

“Mother… really… you’re not immature kids, so why act like this?”

“Just leave them alone… ha, it’s making me so pissed.”

“They’re not even young anymore, sigh.”

“Please live your real lifeㅠ”

“Just let them be.”

“Wow… there are so many older fans in that fandom who act delusional, when will it ever stop?”

“Doing sasaeng stuff at that age? Unbelievable.”

“Stop harassing them already.”

“Didn’t they do this before too?? So scary.”

“Grandma… ha… age gracefully, please.”

“What kind of life have you lived to act like this at that age?”

“Unbelievable… do you really want to be doing this at that age?”

“That’s a crime. What are you doing?”

“Thinking about it, I also knew an older stalker in another fandom. These kinds of shady crimes usually come from people who are older and haven’t grown up mentally.”

“Forties…”

“Forty-somethings acting this thoughtlessly…?”

“I’m in my 40s myself, but when I see this I just think they’re crazy… honestly, it’s pathetic. I don’t even understand fansites, let alone following idols’ private schedules, it’s terrifying.”
