Rookie group NEWBEAT is making waves in the U.S. music market with a remarkable reverse-charting surge.
NEWBEAT achieved a major milestone on the 12th as their double title track “Look So Good” from their first mini album ‘LOUDER THAN EVER’ claimed No. 1 across six categories on U.S. Amazon Music.
“Look So Good” topped the charts in Far East & Asia Best Sellers, Songs Hot New Releases, International Hot New Releases, Far East & Asia Hot New Releases, Movers & Shakers, and International Best Sellers. The track also ranked No. 5 on the Songs Best Sellers chart, placing it among the top contenders across major categories and highlighting its strong upward momentum.
Previously, upon its release on November 6, “Look So Good” entered iTunes charts in seven countries. On U.S.-based music platform Genius, the song ranked No. 80 on the weekly Top Pop Chart, making NEWBEAT the only K-pop act at the time to secure a spot on the chart.
These results are widely seen as the success of NEWBEAT’s global strategy, built on all-English lyrics and collaborations with internationally renowned producers. The album features contributions from Neal Ormandy, who has worked with Billboard Top 10 artists, and Candice Sosa, who has participated in BTS album productions, further elevating the album’s overall quality.
In addition to their global chart performance, NEWBEAT has already earned their first rookie award since debut, marking a meaningful achievement early in their career. On December 12th at 12 p.m. local time, the group released a Chinese version of “Cappuccino,” officially kicking off promotions in the Greater China region and continuing their active global expansion.
Meanwhile, NEWBEAT is set to hold their first solo concert, ‘Drop the NEWBEAT,’ on January 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. at YES24 Wonderloc Hall, raising anticipation for their next chapter as they continue their rapid rise on the global stage.
