It still holds the record for the biggest sales debut in the USA, the world’s largest music market, with 254k pure sales in its first week, and has remained to be the best-selling Korean song in the USA this year. As of August 5, ‘Like Crazy’ had also surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify in just 133 days since official release, becoming the fastest song by a Korean/K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone after beating the previous record of 156 days.
As of August 6, ‘Like Crazy’ broke yet another record on Spotify’s streaming charts. The platform’s chart updates reflecting streaming rankings for August 5, had the song in the Top 50 of the Global Daily Top Songs chart at #44. This was the124th day that the song was ranking within the Top 50 of Spotify Global Daily Top Songs. As such, ‘Like Crazy’ has now surpassed ‘Money’ by Lisa (123 days) to become the longest charting solo song by a K-pop solo artist on the chart’s Top 50.
Overall, ‘Like Crazy’ is the second longest charting song by a K-pop soloist in the Top 50 of the Global Daily Top Songs chart, of which the longest charting song is a collaboration track.
It also the most streamed solo song by a Korean solo artist on Spotify USA with 24.8 million streams, and continues to be the longest charting Korean solo song on Spotify USA Daily Top Songs chart, the second longest charting solo song by a K-pop soloist on the chart and third longest charting song by a K-pop soloist.
Such impressive streaming numbers also mean that his album ‘FACE‘ is garnering streams rapidly. It recently became the most streamed album by a Korean soloist in the history of Spotify with 772 million in 110 days. Spotify counter update for the chart dated August 5 saw ‘FACE’ surpass 900 million streams on the platform in just 135 days beating the previous record of 507 days set by ‘LALISA’, to not only extend its record as the most streamed album by a Korean solo artist on Spotify, but also to become the first and only album by a Korean solo artist to reach this mark!
