RM of BTS will curate a special exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, coming from October of 2026 through February of 2027.
On October 2 ET, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art announced, “For the first time, explore RM’s personal art collection. See what inspires one of the world’s most influential musicians. ‘RM x SFMOMA’ opens next year, October 2026.”
The exhibition will feature approximately 200 pieces selected by RM, including some of his privately-owned works to those owned by SFMOMA. It will be a chance for fans to “glimpse into RM’s artistic sensibilities and get to know his aesthetic eye as a collector,” said Big Hit Music.
RM also relayed through his agency, “We are living in an age defined by boundaries. I hope that this exhibit will be a chance for all of us to reflect on the boundaries between East and West, Korea and the U.S, modernity and the present, the individual and the universal. There is no right way to admire art. I am just offering a small, but sturdy bridge.”
Meanwhile, RM is known to be the owner of artworks by globally renowned artists such as KAWS and Murakami Takashi, as well as works by contemporary Korean artists including Lee Dae Won and Kim Jong Hak.
