On March 1, 2024, Kim Taehyung, aka V from BTS, was announced to be collaborating with renowned action star Jackie Chan as the Brand Ambassadors of the stock and mutual fund investment platform called SimInvest.
SimInvest is a subsidiary of Sinarmas Sekuritas, owned by Sinar Mas conglomerate and managed by Indonesia’s third-richest family.

Sinarmas Sekuritas President Commissioner Ferita Lie released an official statement to the Indonesian media outlet Antara News about Taehyung’s impact on the brand and the reason behind his collaboration with Jackie Chan.
“Over the last two years, SimInvest has grown rapidly thanks to the presence of V, who has a loyal fanbase among young people. However, we cannot stop introducing new things, which is why we chose Jackie Chan as the second BA, alongside V, to represent a more senior audience,” said Ferita Lie.
Ferita stated that Jackie Chan’s presence could complement Taehyung’s figure, who is already widely known, and their collaboration is said to continue.

Through SimInvest’s latest commercial film, the two world figures convey the message that friendship is not limited by generation, distance, ethnicity, favorite food and sport, or hobby.
In the video, Taehyung enjoys a luxurious lifestyle, later joined by Jackie Chan. Taehyung then shows off his dance moves to Jackie, who in turn teaches the idol some kung-fu moves.
Saules Moon, marketing manager at Gush Cloud Korea, an advertising agency that facilitated the relationship between Taehyung and SimInvest, shared the difficulty in bringing the project to life.She shared the SimInvest film with the caption:
“Our blood, sweat, and tears are out!! Such an honor to work with these legends.”
After the commercial film was released, Taehyung took to Instagram to share an endearing behind-the-scenes clip of his filming session with Jackie Chan.
In the video, Taehyung exhibited his friendliness and knack for putting people he just met at ease, evident through his close rapport with the veteran actor.
This marks the beginning of Taehyung’s second year with SimInvest since he was announced as their brand ambassador last year, on March 1, 2023.
For the past year, Taehyung has not only contributed to the local growth of SimInvest but has also elevated the brand’s global visibility. Through a series of ad campaigns and activities, including his fan meet event held in June of last year, he has expanded SimInvest’s presence on the global stage.
