As we mark the 10th anniversary of BTS, a milestone that has been celebrated with a two-week-long fiesta, officials have announced the deployment of a staggering 630 police personnel to ensure traffic and safety control this weekend. The commemorative event is slated to be held at Yeouido Han River Park in Seoul, attracting a crowd of around 300,000 zealous BTS fans.
The Yeongdeungpo Police Station plans to strategize on crowd management, traffic control, and various other safety measures today, with officials from the Seoul metropolitan government assisting in conducting a comprehensive site inspection.
Beginning at 2 PM on Saturday, officials plan to enforce traffic control measures and shut down a road adjacent to the venue. In a bid to regulate the anticipated traffic, about 630 traffic police and safety personnel will be stationed at various points, and approximately 374 signboards and banners will be erected in the area to aid the flow of traffic.
The grand BTS 10th Anniversary Festa, which began earlier this week, is set to run until June 25 in various parts of the capital city. This Saturday, BTS fans attending the Festa@Yeouido event will have the opportunity to experience a range of engaging activities, including the “BTS History Wall,” a display of the band’s stage costumes, a commemorative sculpture, and a hands-on booth for tattoo stickers, as per BIGHIT MUSIC.
Highlighting the day’s activities, the group’s leader RM is set to engage with fans at the ARMY Lounge at 5 PM. At 8:30 PM, spectators will be treated to a fireworks display set to the tunes of BTS songs, complete with narration from member Jungkook. Both the discussion with RM and the fireworks spectacle will be accessible via live stream for fans worldwide.
Echoing the preparations, Prime Minister Han Duck Soo has called for thorough safety measures given the enormous number of people expected to congregate for the BTS anniversary event. With the event including a fireworks display, Prime Minister Han emphasized taking proactive measures to prevent potential crowd-related accidents.
