BTS’s J-Hope revealed his ideal type.
On June 19, BTS’s J-Hope appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel 117‘s program ‘Sana’s Fridge Interview.’ When asked about the reason for his appearance, J-Hope coolly responded, “To promote my new song,” making the studio burst into laughter. However, the biggest topic of interest was his ideal type.
When Sana asked, “What’s your ideal type?” When J-Hope seemed surprised by the question, Sana clarified that the question was a signature question of ‘Fridge Interview.’
J-Hope responded, “I haven’t been asked that in 10 years,” but shared, “But I do have a clear answer. It has to be someone different from me.” He continued to explain, “personality-wise, values…I mean, of course, we can’t be different in every single way. But I think I prefer people who think differently from me.”
J-Hope gave an example and said, “I feel a spark when someone has a different perspective from mine.” He elaborated, “For example, if there’s a pear drink, I’d naturally assume it contains pear. But when someone approaches it from a completely different angle, that difference in thinking excites me,” explaining that he’s attracted to people with different values and ways of thinking.
When asked about physical preferences, J-Hope shared, “As for looks, I’m not really sure.” But he revealed, “I used to like people with a salamander-like appearance.” When Sana seemed perplexed, J-Hope shared, “Kind of small… It’s not super defined or sharp-looking.” When Sana followed up by asking if he meant something like an axolotl, he nodded and said, “Rather than someone with very sharp features, I like someone with a soft, tofu-like impression.”
Currently, five of the BTS members, excluding SUGA, have completed their military service. RM and V were discharged 10 days ago, and Jimin and Jungkook finished their service on the 11th. SUGA is scheduled to be discharged on the 21st. Jin and J-Hope were already discharged in June and October of last year, respectively. As a result, anticipation for BTS’s full-group comeback in the second half of this year is higher than ever.
