V from BTS. “I tried to make it less fancy and less colorful”

V of the group BTS revealed the meaning of the album in a video introducing his first official solo album “Layover” on the 8th, saying, “It contains a simple but sincere heart.”

“As it’s my first solo album to be released, I really thought a lot about it and prepared hard with the intention of showing you a new side,” he said. “I’m not greedy originally, but this time I was greedy.””There were many things I realized while practicing vocalization again from the beginning,” he said.

V made his solo debut as the last of the seven members of BTS with “Layover.”He said he tried to capture his full self in this album.

“If I work on this solo album in a word, it’s just a process of visiting me,” he said. “I’ll be able to find a new side of V who can say, ‘There’s a side like this.””I was very colorful on stage, but this time, I tried hard to remove the colorful elements and show the original color of myself.I put everything I like and what I’m good at in this album.”

“Layover” contains a total of six songs, including the title song “Slow Dancing,” pre-released songs “Rainy Days” and “Love Me Again,” as well as piano versions of “Blue,” “For Us,” and “Slow Dancing.”

In particular, Min Hee-jin, the general producer of A-Door, who led the success of New Gins, was involved in the overall production of the album, causing a sensation.

V said, “This was the first time I worked with him, and he worked very well with producer Min Hee-jin,” adding, “I contacted him first because he thought of a producer who was looking for someone to maximize my emotions.””As a result, a very great album came out,” he said with satisfaction.

He said he actively expressed his opinions and worked with producer Min Hee-jin on the album.

V said, “I usually speak slowly, but even my ‘slowness’ was a feature of this album,” and looked back, “I think that’s why the music I wanted to do came out.”

The name of the album “Layover” means stopover, not direct flight.Through this album, he expressed his willingness to move toward his goal step by step.

Regarding the title song “Slow Dancing,” he said, “It’s a song that you can listen to in a relaxed mood like the title,” adding, “I hope everyone will have a free and comfortable time as soon as they listen to this song.”

“The reason I chose ‘Slow Dancing’ as the title song was because I thought ‘ARMY’ (BTS fans) would like this song the most,” V said. “We produced music videos for all five tracks except for the bonus track, which will remain a special memory because this is the first experience.”
