BTS has announced long-awaited details regarding their upcoming album.
On January 5 KST, their agency BigHit Music announced through the fan platform Weverse that BTS will release their fifth full length album on March 20 at 1 PM KST.
The agency stated, “This new album is especially meaningful as it marks the group’s first album release in approximately three years and nine months, while also presenting the direction the seven members will move toward going forward.”
They added, “The members were deeply involved throughout the songwriting process, infusing their own thoughts and colors, and expressed through music the emotions and concerns they felt during their journey.”
Further, the announcement stated that the album will include 14 tracks as an expression of gratitude, writing, “In particular, the album contains sincere stories that we truly wanted to share with ARMY who have been waiting for the full group comeback, spread across 14 tracks. Filled with the most BTS like music, this album is also a heartfelt expression of gratitude to ARMY who have steadfastly stood by us for a long time.”
Along with the release of their fifth full length album, BTS will also hold a world tour, with detailed schedules set to be announced on January 14 at 12 AM KST.

BTS entered a military hiatus beginning with Jin’s enlistment in December 2022. Starting with Jin in June 2024, J-Hope, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook were discharged one by one, and Suga, who served as a social service worker, was released from duty in June last year, bringing the military hiatus to an end as the group prepared for a full group comeback.
After the announcement was released, domestic ARMYs reported that the platform Weverse allegedly temporarily went down due to the high volume of users on the server.
Fans and netizens on community forums shared their excitement, already expressing both their desire and concerns about securing concert tickets, while also applauding the large number of tracks included in the upcoming album.
