aespa’s Winter is set to meet fans just one day after rumors linking her to BTS member Jungkook circulated widely online.
According to MyDaily’s report on December 5, aespa will hold an in-person fan signing event in Seoul on December 6.
The schedule itself is routine, but it has drawn unusual attention because it comes immediately after Winter and Jungkook became the focus of new dating speculation.
On social media and online communities, users claimed that the two idols have similar tattoo designs, stating that the dog illustrations on their arms appear alike. Some posts also suggested that their in-ear monitor designs and bracelets look similar, which led to speculation that these might be “couple items.”
Their past Instagram usernames also attracted attention. Winter used the handle “imwinter” and Jungkook previously used “imjungkook.” Although Jungkook has explained that his updated username “mnijungkook” stands for “my name is Jungkook,” some online commenters offered different interpretations, which further fueled the discussion.
Another point of debate arose from Jungkook’s visit to an aespa concert during his military service leave. Fans noted that he had not been seen attending concerts of other HYBE-label groups such as NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, or ILLIT. This prompted discussion about whether the visit held any special meaning. However, there is no confirmed evidence suggesting a personal relationship between the two artists.
As of now, Big Hit Music, which represents Jungkook, and SM Entertainment, which represents Winter, have not issued any official statements regarding the rumors.
