ARMY outraged as BTS’s Jin misses 'ARIRANG' album credits, fans question schedule decisions

BTS member Jin was notably absent from the credits of the group’s latest album, ‘ARIRANG,’ igniting a wave of reactions among ARMY fans.

The group celebrated the release of their fifth full-length album, ‘ARIRANG,’ on March 20 with a live broadcast featuring all members. During the discussion about the album, RM expressed regret, saying, “Each of us added our own color. Jin brother would have been part of it if the tour had ended a little sooner.”

V explained that there was time to work together, but Jin’s condition was not ideal because he was still on tour. RM added that Jin had worked hard, so it was unfortunate he could not contribute. Jimin highlighted Jin’s contribution indirectly, saying, “Thanks to him keeping the team together, the album could be released.” Jin himself commented, “I’m glad so many cool songs came out.”

Jin’s absence from ‘ARIRANG’ credits was due to scheduling conflicts. While the other members participated in a songwriting camp in the United States, Jin, recently discharged from military service and engaged in solo activities, was still on tour. The overlap prevented his inclusion in the album credits. During the live broadcast, cameras captured Jin’s expression stiffening. Jungkook quietly patted his shoulder in a supportive gesture.

Following the video release, fans expressed mixed reactions. Some commented,

“He worked hard alone after military service, so being left off the credits is too much,”

“Couldn’t the songwriting camp have been adjusted?”

“Couldn’t they have waited until the tour ended?”

“It is a shame that his absence was filled by other members for scheduling reasons.”

These comments highlighted fan disappointment over schedule coordination and Jin’s omission.

Even after Jin completed his tour and joined the United States camp, much of ARIRANG’s production had already been finalized, adding to fan disappointment.

BTS officially kicked off ‘ARIRANG’ promotions with the album release on March 20 and a live event at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21. The group will appear on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on March 26 and 27.
