They did amazing!
BTS were not only nominated for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards (also known as 2022 GRAMMYs), they also helped announce the nominees.
After the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs), RM accidentally dropped a spoiler during their live broadcast.
J-Hope had wondered aloud if they could hope for a GRAMMY next after their 2021 AMAs wins as they picked up Favorite Pop Duo or Group, Favorite Pop Song, and the most anticipated Artist of the Year award. Rather than just agree with J-Hope, RM said, “Our video came out anyway…”
It turns out he was referring to this Recording Academy’s official GRAMMY nominations announcement live stream.
Today, each BTS member assisted in announcing the nominees for “Best Alternative Music Album.” The nominees are “Shore” by Fleet Foxes, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” by Halsey, “Jubilee” by Japanese Breakfast, “Collapsed in Sunbeams” by Arlo Parks, and “Daddy’s Home” by St. Vincent.
While other artists were also included in the announcement and were each given multiple categories to announce, the seven BTS members each took turns reading the nominees for this one category.

Similarly, BTS were nominated for just one award. “Butter” is nominated for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.”
The 2022 GRAMMY Awards will be on Monday, January 31, on CBC Television Network and Paramount+.
