BTS have dropped an animated trailer for their 5th full album, ‘ARIRANG‘.
The trailer takes creative inspiration from an article published in ‘The Washington Post‘ on May 8, 1896, documenting that the Korean folk song “Arirang” was one of the first Korean songs to be recorded on a gramophone record. (This is a widely accepted fact in Korean music history.) The BTS members transform into seven young men who travel to a foreign land to share the sounds of Korea with the world in the past, then traverse across time to spread Korea’s sounds in the present.
Meanwhile, ‘ARIRANG’ is set for release on March 20 at 12 AM EST / 1 PM KST.
