BTS’s upcoming album ‘ARIRANG’ has been partially leaked online ahead of its release, prompting legal action from the group’s agency.
According to Billboard on April 13 local time, BigHit Music has initiated legal proceedings against an anonymous user on X who allegedly posted unreleased content from the album.
The account reportedly shared portions of audio tracks, lyrics, and images from BTS’s fifth full length album earlier this month. In response, Big Hit Music has requested a subpoena from a US court to identify the individual behind the account.
Billboard noted that the agency is likely seeking to pursue a civil lawsuit in Korea once the user’s identity is confirmed.
The incident has raised concerns over unauthorized distribution of unreleased content, as the agency moves to protect the group’s intellectual property.
