Not only did Jungkook secure the top position on the Hot 100 chart, but he also dominated the ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global 200 (excluding the US)’ charts. This remarkable achievement made him the first Asian solo artist to achieve an all-kill on three charts simultaneously: the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard Global 200, and Billboard Global 200 (excluding the US).
In response to his phenomenal success, Jungkook left a message to his fans on the global fan platform Weverse with just three simple yet powerful words: “Let’s go higher.” The passionate ARMYs were thrilled by Jungkook’s ambitious spirit, which reflected the essence of the talented golden maknae.
Notably, Jungkook’s achievement marked the second instance of a K-pop solo singer reigning at the top of the Hot 100, following his fellow BTS member Jimin‘s success with “Like Crazy.”
With both Jimin and Jungkook claiming the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100, BTS joined the esteemed ranks of legendary groups like the Beatles, Black Eyed Peas, and Destiny’s Child, becoming one of the few groups in history to have multiple members from a group reach the pinnacle of the Hot 100 chart as soloists.
