BTS Jungkook’s home intruder case sent to prosecution, BigHit vows zero tolerance

A woman who trespassed into the home of BTS’s Jungkook has been referred to the prosecution. The group’s agency emphasized its principle of zero tolerance toward illegal behavior.

On September 29th(KST), BigHit Music posted on Weverse: “There have been multiple incidents of attempted trespassing into a member’s residence. Some of these cases have now been referred to the prosecution, and we will ensure that strict punishment is delivered.”

Jungkook has suffered from two separate incidents this year involving trespassing and attempted break-ins. In June, a Chinese woman in her 30s attempted to enter his home, and in August, a woman in her 40s managed to sneak inside.

BigHit Music stated, “Acts such as visiting or loitering around an artist’s residence, observing their homes from outside, leaking personal information, and all other invasions of privacy fall under criminal offenses such as trespassing and stalking.”

They continued, “Such illegal acts cause severe anxiety and distress to the artist. We ask for your cooperation in respecting the artist’s privacy and safety in order to foster a safe and healthy fan culture.”

The agency added, “We are responding to illegal acts with a principle of zero tolerance. Defamation, insults, and the spreading of false information will also be met with legal action.”

In fact, BigHit Music noted that some of the cases it filed last year had already been referred to the prosecution. “In July, several cases were referred to prosecution with recommendations for indictment. Cases filed this year are also under investigation, with suspects being summoned through executed warrants,” they explained.

Finally, the agency expressed gratitude, “We are always thankful for the love and dedication from BTS fans. Moving forward, BigHit Music will continue to work tirelessly to protect the rights and interests of our artists.”
