BTS is rolling out another large-scale project, transforming Seoul into a citywide cultural experience.
On February 6, BigHit Music announced that ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL‘ will take place from March 20 to April 12, featuring immersive cultural spaces across the capital.
The event is being held to commemorate the release of BTS’s fifth full-length album, ‘ARIRANG.’ Fans and visitors can expect experiential content that blends music and media, turning Seoul into an interactive showcase.
On the album’s release day, March 20, major landmarks such as Sungnyemun (Namdaemun Gate) and N Seoul Tower will be illuminated with media façade displays, creating scenes where tradition and modernity coexist.
The project extends beyond landmark installations. A lounge-style program for enjoying BTS’s music will be set up at Yeouido Hangang Park, while urban spaces such as stone walls and stairways throughout the city will also be transformed into exhibition venues.
BigHit Music explained, “The project was designed so that tourists and residents alike can experience culture and art in a new way while enjoying BTS’s comeback.”
The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, offering a wide range of activities. The agency added, “Various partnership events, including food and beverage and mobility programs, are also planned. We ask for your enthusiastic anticipation.”
BTS previously launched ‘THE CITY’ projects in Las Vegas and Busan in April and October 2022, respectively. The City is described as an urban-style play park that integrates music, culture, and the city itself.
Further details and the full schedule for “BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL” will be announced at a later date through the global fan platform Weverse.
