BTS connected with fans as a complete seven member group through a surprise live broadcast ahead of their highly anticipated comeback.
The group went live on December 16, marking their first full group livestream since all seven members reunited. During the broadcast, BTS chatted casually with fans and shared candid thoughts about the past year, their current preparations, and plans moving forward.
j-hope opened the conversation by asking fans, “How was your 2025?” Jin jokingly responded, “You were discharged,” prompting laughter. Jungkook added, “I hope it ends quickly. I want to move on to 2026,” while RM admitted, “I’m sick of 2025. It feels way too long. I spent half of it as a soldier.” SUGA agreed, saying the year felt especially drawn out.
RM also shared a personal update, revealing that he recently obtained his driver’s license. “I don’t plan on buying a car,” he said. “I just wanted to get it. I wanted to overcome my trauma.”
The members explained that they had gathered after a choreography practice session before turning on the live broadcast. Jimin shared, “We’ve been practicing together, then meeting up in the evenings to talk and hang out.” SUGA joked, “It might be better to just do concerts already. Stop preparing,” while RM confessed, “I want to start as soon as possible. This year end feels unbearable.” J-Hope laughed, adding that there was still much more to prepare, and Jungkook chimed in, “We’re not even 10 percent ready yet.”
RM also expressed frustration about not being able to share details. “I can’t say what we’re preparing or how much,” he said. “When is the company announcing it? It’s driving me crazy. HYBE, please announce it already. I have another meeting tomorrow.” SUGA reassured fans, saying, “They said it will happen soon. I can’t say much, but it’ll be in the near future.” Jimin echoed the sentiment, noting that the waiting period felt longer than expected.
V explained the spontaneous nature of the livestream, saying, “We suddenly felt like going live, so we came on. Have you all been well?” After reading fan comments, he told the members that fans were asking them to come on live more often. The group responded enthusiastically, promising, “Let’s come more often,” and hinting at proper broadcasts around the year end or early next year.
With all members completing their military service this year, BTS has officially ended their military hiatus and is currently preparing for a full group comeback targeted for next spring.
