For the release of his solo debut album Jack In The Box, BTS‘s J-Hope threw a star-studded album listening party that quickly became a must-attend event.
J-Hope’s party took place on July 14, 2022, and as the party was underway, fans followed along on social media while celebrities posted envy-worthy photos and videos from the event.
Over 50 celebrities attended the event, including J-Hope’s fellow BTS members, with the exception of Suga who had a fever that evening.

J-Hope was the most recent guest on Suga’s variety show Suchwita and during his episode, he revealed the unexpected way he invited his star-studded list of attendees.
J-Hope revealed that after finishing BTS’s Permission To Dance concerts in Los Angeles, he spent the next month producing the ten songs on his Jack In The Box album.
Suga could see how hard J-Hope was working and praised him for putting his stress aside to seem like “a total pop star” at his album listening party.
J-Hope shared that he recently watched his J-Hope In The Box documentary and was also surprised at his confidence as he watched the footage from his party.
Suga asked if J-Hope invited all of the attendees himself, and he confirmed that he did.
J-Hope set up a social media account to communicate details to the fellow celebrities he invited and “personally contacted everyone to express [his] gratitude.”
J-Hope told fellow artists on the invite list how much he loved their music and that he was releasing an album. He shared with them that he would love for them to come to his party to listen to his new songs.
J-Hope revealed that the invitation reception was overwhelmingly positive, but it was still a tough event to throw.
He noted that it was an event that he could only throw at that time and humbly added that it gave him a sense of pride.
His event was a major success, with attendees praising J-Hope for being an attentive host during the party.
