BTS’s J-Hope Surprises Becky G During Her “Coachella 2023” Performance

BTS‘s J-Hope and American singer and actress Becky G have a heartwarming friendship, and they’ve earned the love of ARMYs with their mutual respect for and support of each other.

J-Hope and Becky G met at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards and have remained close since, appreciating each others’ music and even collaborating on a song that same year.

The two global artists joined forces in 2019, revitalizing Webstar and Young B‘s 2006 hit featuring the Voice of Harlem, “Chicken Noodle Soup.”

When J-Hope was planning his historic headlining set at Lollapalooza in 2022, he invited Becky G to take the stage with him for a surprise epic performance of “Chicken Noodle Soup.”

When it came time for Becky G’s Coachella 2023 performance, she had every intention of inviting J-Hope on stage with her, bringing their iconic collaboration full circle.

Unfortunately, J-Hope was unable to join her due to enlisting in the military for his mandatory military service.

Although he wasn’t able to be there in person, he surprised ARMYs and Becky G with a virtual appearance during her Coachella 2023 weekend two set.

In a pre-recorded video message from before J-Hope’s enlistment, he greeted his dear friend and the audience, sending “big love” from Korea.
