Business insiders have reported on April 4 KST that BTS’s Jungkook is building a massive, luxury home in Yongsan-gu, Itaewon-dong, one of the richest neighborhoods in all of South Korea.
Jungkook previously purchased a detached, urban home in this neighborhood in 2020 for 7.6 billion KRW (~ $6 million USD). In July of last year, the city of Yongsan approved a construction permit for this property, and the existing home was soon demolished.
Construction has begun for a new, detached luxury home with its total floor area at 1161.04㎡, total land area at 633.05㎡, and total building area at 348.05㎡. The home will consist of 2 below ground levels and 3 above ground levels, and its expected completion date is May 31, 2024.
Meanwhile, Yongsan-gu, Itaewon-dong is home to Choi Tae Won, chairman of SK Group; Lee Myung Hee, chairman of Shinsegae Group; Shin Dong Won, chairman of Nong Shim Group; Jung Eui Sun, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, and more.
