He’s changed for the better.
BTS‘s Jungkook practically grew up in front of the camera. He went from an adorable, wide-eyed teen to a charismatic man right in front of our very eyes. Just recently, fellow member V named what he felt had changed about Jungkook. While Jungkook used to cry at the drop of a hat, he has since matured and become more steely.
For me, it was those days when Jungkook would cry if I asked, ‘Are you crying?’ That was the best moment for me.

In an interview with Weverse Magazine on June 15, 2022, Jungkook personally shared what he felt had changed about him. Of course, humans are circumstantial beings and the COVID-19 pandemic changed many people. Jungkook was no exception. When asked about how he has changed and improved, Jungkook explained that he has definitely grown calmer as a person.
I think I changed after the pandemic hit more than any other time. I think I’ve had the most changes from then until now. I’m a little calmer now. I think I can see a little more clearly and for certain what I need to do musically now that I settled down. I still wouldn’t say I’ve turned into a grown-up entirely yet, but that feeling has slowly begun to reach me. I didn’t realize it until then.

He has also learned to control his emotions better and become more rational.
I’m not sure. I think my whole personality has changed a lot. In the past I would get emotional or lose my temper. Sometimes I let my emotions get the best of me, but ever since the pandemic I’ve become more laid-back and I’ve been able to look at things rationally and realistically. And I don’t get mad as easily. Even my perspective on life used to fluctuate wildly, but now I think I’m more centered.

Of course, with a new-and-improved outlook on life, he views the members differently too. He shared his love and gratefulness to the members for remaining unchanging in their love for music. This was what helped keep his passion for the art alive and constant.
What we have now is different from the passion and spirit we had when we were younger, but we’re all ambitious and thoughtful and I’m thankful that they continue to be musically ambitious and keep expressing that. I think I would have grown up to be a very different person if the other members didn’t demonstrate their love of music the way they do now and I grew up observing that instead. I’m really grateful they still focus on our work.
