BTS's Suga's fan song "Come Over" released as vinyl-only hidden track, fans call for wider access

BTS, who continue to dominate global charts—including simultaneously topping two major Billboard charts in the United States—have once again ignited fan excitement by unveiling a surprise new track through a deluxe vinyl release. However, despite its nature as a “fan song,” concerns are also being raised over its limited availability.

On April 3, BTS released the deluxe vinyl edition of their fifth full-length album ‘ARIRANG.’ The album includes a total of 15 tracks, adding the new song “Come Over” to the original 14-track lineup. Notably, the track is presented as a hidden song available exclusively on the vinyl format—neither on streaming platforms nor CD—making it a special addition for collectors.

On the day of the release, Suga shared a message on social media, saying, “I can’t say everything yet, but I hope you’ll like what we like,” expressing his heartfelt sentiments about the hidden track.

“Come Over” was produced by Suga, with RM and J-Hope also credited on the track. Blending a stadium anthem style with pop, the song features expansive synthesizers and resonant vocals that build a grand, immersive sound. A heavy beat reminiscent of stomping and clapping, combined with a flowing guitar line, delivers an energy that feels as though it fills an entire concert venue.

The lyrics are equally striking. Lines such as, “When a night that feels empty comes / I call out to you again like this / Yeah I’m lost, can I come over,” convey the emotional pull of seeking “you” even in moments of feeling lost. The honest confession—knocking after wandering and asking to be let in—can be interpreted as a message directed toward their longtime fandom, ARMY.

Beyond being just a new track, the song holds deeper meaning as a fan-dedicated piece. Its vinyl-exclusive release has been praised for increasing its collectible value as “fan-only content” tailored to core supporters. However, in today’s streaming-driven music landscape, disappointment has also emerged over the limited accessibility preventing wider fan engagement.

The members had previously expressed strong affection for the song. During a Weverse live broadcast celebrating their Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 achievement, RM introduced “Come Over” by saying, “It’s a hidden track Suga hyung was really upset about.” The members added, “He cried—really cried,” highlighting Suga’s emotional attachment. Suga himself shared, “I kept asking for two weeks why it wasn’t included on the album, and now it’s finally out.”

When it was mentioned that there were no plans to release the track digitally as it is “LP-only,” fans responded with mixed emotions.

Some shared practical concerns such as, “I don’t have a turntable, so it’s hard to listen,” and “It’s disappointing since I don’t have the setup to play vinyl.” Others voiced their hopes more directly: “If it’s a fan song, I wish more people could hear it,” and “Please release it on streaming platforms.”

Meanwhile, BTS’s ‘ARIRANG’ continues to achieve record-breaking success on global charts, including topping both the Billboard 200 and the Hot 100 simultaneously.
