On June 11, Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, attended the long-awaited fan meet event organized by SimInvest at SJ Kunsthalle in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
SimInvest is an online trading and investment platform owned by Sinar Mas, one of the largest conglomerates in Indonesia. Taehyung has been their international ambassador since March 2023.
Although thousands of SimInvest users registered for the fan meet event, only 80 lucky winners won the lottery. Some of them had invested up to 1.2 billion Korean won for the rare opportunity to meet Taehyung in person.
Aware of the huge crowd of fans waiting outside who were not allowed inside the venue, Taehyung took the time to greet them.
A reporter revealed that Taehyung was supposed to enter through the side entrance, but he changed his mind and used the main entrance instead to greet the fans.
This marked Taehyung’s first official event since he dyed his hair blonde for the first time in years, which added much to the excitement.
He mesmerized the crowd with his beauty and charm. He also greeted his fans with his signature smile and posed for pictures.
Taehyung’s casual and chic look harmonized with his new lighter hair color. He created a stylish look by combining high-end and low-cost pieces.
With all the excitement surrounding Taehyung’s appearance, hashtags and keywords related to the SimInvest event occupied the entire top 5 of Twitter trends worldwide, with #SimInvestxV taking the #1 spot.
His photos also trended on the “Hot Search” section of Weibo, China’s largest social media platform, as fans and Chinese netizens praised his charms and visuals at the event.
In addition to the winners of the lottery, the event was attended by the upper management of SimInvest and the Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea, Gandi Sulistiyanto.
During his 20-minute session, Taehyung delighted the crowd with his cuteness and charming personality. He answered several questions asked by the host and fans.
He also impressed Indonesian fans by introducing himself and speaking a few sentences in their local language, including the phrase “Aku cinta kamu,” which means “I love you.”
Taehyung’s warmth and friendliness were felt by everyone in the crowd, including MC Jang Hansol. After the fan meet, Jang Hansol spoke about how Taehyung made him feel at ease.
Fans also spotted the men in the crowd who had invested the most money for a chance to meet Taehyung. It was a testament to his popularity among people of all genders.
